Epoxy Aggregate flooring consists of a tumbled Aggregate or a crushed marble - mixed with epoxy color is achieved by the selection of stone (colored grout may also be used to create a different effect). Epoxy's clarity strength and chemical properties have improved with innovations in the industry, as well as the variety of colors in marble being quarried, and more and more people are able to custom design their own floors at a surprisingly low cost. |
Terrazzo flooring, a favorite for hundreds of years, is generally used with rich colored crushed marble or granite mixed with a clear or colored epoxy. The finish is a seamless, smooth glossy surface and unlike ceramic tile, there are no cracked or stained grout joints or cracked tiles to repair. The tough non-absorbent, chemical and stain resistant finish is unaffected by physical abuse, grease, oil, and solvents. |
